Sunday Riley Blushing 101 Blush

I recently reviewed another blush by Sunday Riley in the color Honest.  I loved it so much, I had to get it in the much raved about color, Blushing.  I originally was going to order it, but they were sold out.  I cant say enough good things about this blush!!  It is the perfect go to color!  I can wear it with any look and not have to think about it.  It is a great Neutral pink that adds a beautiful glow.  If you have not tried any of the Sunday Riley blushes, you are missing out.  They are finely milled and apply so smoothly like silk!  These pics are not the best due to the lack of sun, but they were the best I could do for now.

NostalgicLacquer Blane polish

I recently purchased a few polishes from Nostalgiclacquer off Etsy.  I ordered the bizarre  teenage love triangle set.  Today I am featuring Blane.  It is a gorgeous combination of bright sky blue, navy, and purple glitters, in a sheer purple base.  I had to layer this over another purple for a richer effect.  I thought it came out very nice!  I cant wait to try the rest of my set.  Check it out!

Sunday Riley Sangria Creme Gloss

Yesterday I reviewed Sunday Riley creme gloss in blackberry crush.  Today I am doing a quick review of Sangria.  Sangria is a very, very sheer pink with subtle hints of shimmer.  It is pretty much a My Lips But Better shade.  It is interesting how different it looks on my hand than on my lips.  Totally different!  I do like this color and find it flattering, but for $28 I find it hard to justify.  I do feel I could find a cheaper gloss and be just as happy.  While the shade is pretty on, the color is barley there. I was expecting Sangria to have a little more red to it.  I also was hoping it would have had a bit more color.  Also, when on the sparkles are not really noticeable which could be a plus or minus depending on your preferences.  The other thing I dislike is the taste.  It has a smell to it that I taste when on.  I hate to say this, but it is that cheap lip gloss taste.  It does go away after a short while, but so does the product.  I really don't have much more to say.

Sunday Riley Blackberry Crush Creme Gloss

I recently received a few products I ordered from Sunday Riley.  The whole experience of this purchase has been disappointing!  First of all, It took Barneys well over a week to process my order.  Next, when I emailed about it, I received what I felt was a rude response.  Finally, a couple of the products were huge misses.  For $28 I expect better quality than I would get at a drugstore.  The first thing I am reviewing is the Sunday Riley Creme Gloss in Blackberry crush.  I was advised that these were very sheer and to go with the darkest looking colors for better pigmentation.  I chose a couple of the darkest ones, one being blackberry crush.  The stock photo made it look like a dark purple.  When I applied it I was very disappointed.  It has pretty much no color once applied.  It gives a good amount of shine, and feels nice on the lips, but if I wanted a clear gloss I could have paid a lot less for one.  For my swatches I applied it extremely heavily.  In my swatch it looks like a decent amount of color, but don't let that fool you.  This looks nothing like my swatch when worn on my lips.  I really like Sunday Riley blushes and have heard great things about their shadows, but this is a miss.  I also purchased sangria, and that is a lot better.  I will review that this weekend.

NerdLacquer Pinin For the Fjords

I have been obsessed with NerdLacquer lately as you know.  Last night I deiced to do Pinin for the Fjords.  It is a beautiful sparkling blue with lavender and silver glitter, small and medium sky blue hex glitter, charcoal micro glitter, and large silver hex glitter.  It is stunning!!  Application was a breeze.  I put it over a blueish purple zoya, but this color is pretty all on its own.  Check it out!  It was very hard for me to capture its beauty, but hopefully you get the point.  It was just so shiny and sparkly it would not photograph clearly!

Le Metier de Beaute Aphrodite kaleidoscope

A little while back Messy Wands did a PSA about long lost kaleidoscopes.  I immediately called the John Barrett salon to find out what they had!!  Aphrodite had been on my list and was available!  I was so excited since this was quite the find.  It arrived and was a little more than I expected.  It is very pigmented and I was not sure if it would work for me.  When I say very pigmented, I mean 1 light swipe and pow!  BLUE!!  I still need to practice more with it.  The colors are gorgeous despite how loud a few of them are.  The last one(dark charcoal) is incredible!  It has holo like sparkles that sparkle every color of the rainbow!  It is out of this world.  The 1st color is a medium blue with shimmer(very rich),2nd color is a gorgeous baby blue with hints of gold shimmer, 3rd color is a pretty silver with silver sparkles, and last color is the gorgeous dark charcoal with holo like sparkles.  It was really hard to get the last color to show its true beauty.

I am honestly am not sure if these are still available, but you can call the John Barrett salon to find out.  You can also call Alyx (702)722-7400 as she is able to track down all sorts of le metier products-

NerdLacquer Cold and Calculating polish

As you all know I have been totally obsessed with polish lately. One of my favorite brands is NerdLacquer.  Amanda from NerdLacquer hand makes everything.  Her polishes are amazing!!!!  She is growing her business at a fast rate and her etsy shop sells out in a day or 2.  I originally skipped cold and calculating.  It looked like a dark blue with silver glitter and I wanted so many of the others, it went to the bottom of the list.  After looking at it more, and reading the description, I realized I had to have it.  Cold and calculating is a cool shimmering violet charcoal base with silver and royal purple glitter, medium purple hex glitter, and large silver hex glitter.  Her pics do it no justice, but neither do mine.  You must see this IRL!!  It is one of my favorite NerdLacquers at the moment.  The formula is outstanding!  Opaque in 2 coats.  Check out my pics.

Lynnderella Matter of The Heart

I just wanted to share a few pics of my valentines manicure.  I  had to use Lynnderella's Matter of the heart.  I layered it over Juleps Reese.  I simply love Matter of the heart and cant wait to layer it over other colors.  Lynnderella makes the best polish out there.  It is tricky to get, but so worth it.  Her creations are an art form and she does polish like no other.  These pics do this color no justice. You just have to see them in person to really see all their beauty.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Dissolved In Dreams Lipstick

I recently placed my first order at the wonderful Zuneta.  They are the only place to carry Rouge Bunny Rouge.  RBR is very popular in the blogging world and I can see why.  Both products I have tried from the line are superb.  They are very high quality and simply gorgeous!  Today I am reviewing sheer lipstick Succulence of Dew in the color Dissolved in Dreams.  It is a stunning shade of coral/pink/red.  RBR describes this shade as a shiny, sheer watermelon with silver shimmer. That is pretty exact. I put it on and instantly fell for the formula.  It is right up there with Guerlain's Rouge G.  It slid right on my lips giving a beautiful moist glow.  I can't wait to try more shades!!!  Rouge Bunny rouge Succulence of dew lipsticks  are suffused with Manoi butter, Hop extract, and vitamin E to nourish and protect from drying and aging.  Marine filling spheres fill in fine lines and wrinkles, sepilift provides firming action and re-sculpts the lips to fullness.  Doesn't that sound wonderful?????  I highly recommend checking these out along with other Rouge bunny Rouge products.  From what I hear they are all pretty amazing!   All photos below were done with a heavy hand.  You can make this product a little lighter, and more sheer, or build it up for more bang!
