Le Metier de Beaute Enchantment Lip Kaleidoscope

Today I am reviewing an oldie, but goodie.  I recently became obsessed with Le Metier de Beaute lip kaleidoscopes!  I was at first only addicted to their Peau vierge, and eye kits.  I was never one for lip products that you had to apply with a brush.  They were troublesome and took too much time.  I happened to try the empress kaleidoscope while getting a make over with the fabulous Erin and fell in love with it!  It was the most beautiful color I have ever worn on my lips!!!  I realized it was worth an extra step to apply for such beauty.  The addiction took over and my need to track down as many lip kits as I could began.  Enchantment is another beauty!  If you are not familiar with the lip kits, they are 4 colors that are meant to be layered.  You can also wear them each separately. The first color in enchantment is a light neutral  pink with peach shimmer, 2nd color is a nude beige/pink, 3rd is a gorgeous rose pink, and last is a reddish/pink rose with beautiful shimmer. They are all gorgeous.  Le Metier describes this as a mix of neutrals and rose tones.  I did not want to swatch too heavy as this is pricey and was not easy to find.  The single pictures are bottom to top in the kit.  The opposite from how you wear them and how I described them.

Clarins Instant Light Blush-Vitamin pink

After reading another wonderful review on Best Things In Beauty, I had to run out and get the new Clarins instant Light blush.  It is gorgeous!!  Do I need another Blush......Not really.  This was just too pretty to pass and it is different enough from the ones I own.  I purchased vitamin pink which is a medium, bright, rosy, bubblegum pink with silver shimmer. I have not worn this enough to give a full review, but will update soon. This comes in a different kind of packaging than I am used to.  It almost reminds me of a lipgloss with the doe foot applicator. It can be sheered out for a more subtle look.  Check it out! It is a great deal($28), which is another plus! Clarins describes it as a fluid texture that glides onto the cheeks giving a natural and luminous looking color.  Plant based mineral ingredients smooth and sculpt the cheek for optimized light reflection.  I purchased mine through Nordstrom.com.  Love their free shipping!!!

I Think You Call Me.......Sexy nail polish

Recently I discovered a wonderful brand called NerdLacquer. What a cool name for a brand.  She also has equally cool polish.  With names just as creative as her custom creations!  This review is for I think you call me...sexy!  LOVE that name.   Can you imagine someone asking me what polish I am wearing.  Me replying,"I think you call me...sexy"  They would be like,"WHAT?"  Here is how NL describes this polish. Mad Man with a Box Series - "I Think You Call Me...Sexy" is a brilliant royal blue with silver, iridescent, and holographic glitter, plus large silver hexagonal glitter. Quite opaque at two coats, or great as a single layer over your favorite dark polish.

This is 2 coats of ITYCMS.

a-england princess sabra and bridal veil

I recently bought my first a-england polishes.  I pre ordered and bought a few from the Legends collection.  I already reviewed St.George.  Here is a sneak peak at Bridal Veil and Princess Sabra. Bridal is a black holo.  Princess is a beautiful gold holo. They have the same wonderful formulas as St.George.  I highly recommend them.  I am a total nail polish snob, and the formula on these are top notch.  Honestly, some of the best I have ever used!!

Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge daily renew Cleanser

I have always found skin care reviews to be a little boring.  I guess Its is because I am such a picture girl.  When looking at magazines, I find myself skimming the pages only looking at the pictures.  This might be why I find skin care reviews a little dull. After reading a great review of  BB cream on Perilously Pale, I finally got it!  Skin care reviews ARE important in a beauty blog.  I need to pay attention to more!  So, I am doing one today!!  I recently fell in love with a cleanser.  Yes, in love with a cleanser!  I received a sample of LMDB's Peau Vierge Daily Cleanser while getting a make over from the fabulous Mikey.  He raved about how invigorating it was.  The first time I used it I saw he was right.  It was invigorating, refreshing, and all around wonderful!  It really woke me up!  I have never felt this way with a cleanser.  I don't know how it has the power to awaken, but it really does.  My skin felt clean and soft.  Not drying! After my sample ran out I went and bought a bottle.  I cant stop telling people that they must try this!!!  It smells like fresh oranges too!  Another thing I love is the top can be removed.  I dislike products that you cant open.  I find it makes for lots of waste when you are running out.  This way you can remove the top and see what is left and get it out! Here is what LMDB says-What it is: Peau Vierge Daily Renew Cleanser, featuring the VITAC COMPLEXE, is a gentle yet effective Vitamin-C infused gel cleanser designed to gently cleanse, exfoliate the skin for renewed radiance.

With rounded scrub grains, Peau Vierge Daily Renew Cleanser purifies skin for a brighter, fresh-faced complexion.

What it does for your skin:

  • Removes makeup, deep-set impurities and gently cleanses skin.
  • Exfoliates the skin as gently as a washcloth.
  • Renews radiance.

Lynnderella LavenDear Polish

I hope you are not getting sick of all my polish posts!  It is difficult on long work days to accomplish more than quick nail posts, but I will work on that!  Anyway, I just had to show off another Lynnderella.  I am in LOVE with her polish!!!!  MUST HAVE MORE! Here are a couple pics of lavendear.  Here is the description- a blend of lavender multi-sized hexagons and squares with a touch of holographic pink in a sheer pink-violet base with a hint of iridescent blue shimmer.
It is gorgeous!  I used the perfect base for it!  Essie "to buy or not to buy".  It seemed to match the base of LavenDear and they really complemented each other.  Too buy or not to buy is a light violet pink with iridescent blue and pink shimmer. I also added a touch of Nicole by OPI "Step to the beat of my heart". On to the pics!

The thumb pic above is only 1 coat of LavenDear, which is what I should have done with all of them.  I got carried away with it!

Lynnderella chocolatta love!

Just a quick few pics of Lynnderella's new polish, Chocolatta Love.  Lynnderella's polish is truly one of a kind!  They are extremely hard to get.  I wish I ordered more!!!!  I could not mange to get the best shot of this, but here you go!  Its a sheer, brown base, with tons of different sized glitters.  Here is the description Lynnderella uses- a blend of brown multi-sized hexagons and squares, black microglitter, as well as scattered yellow, red, purple, turquoise, lime and emerald "candies" in a sheer chocolate base. Like brownies with M+Ms baked in. Its so glittery and sparkly...Love!

a-england St.George nail polish

Yesterday I was just letting my Chanel Quartz manicure dry as the mail came. To my surprise I received 2 nail polish packages early!  I was beyond excited!  It was my a-england-legends collection, and some of the nerd lacquer polish I had ordered.  They were not supposed to be here until the following day.  So, after picking the polish that spoke to me, I ran downstairs and wiped off my fresh manicure.  It was disappointing as it was gorgeous!  I'm sorry Chanel, but nothing can beat these colors!  Here are a couple pics of St. George.  It is a teal holo.  The pics do it no justice.  The formula is probably the best I have ever used! Please excuse how messy my swatches are.  A hair had attached itself, and I had not cleaned my cuticles and nails yet.  I was just so excited to take these!  How many times have I said excited in this post??

Le Metier de Beaute Mediterranean Seas Kaleidoscope

A couple months ago MessyWands posted the PSA about the long lost kaleidoscopes.  I jumped on it and called the John Barret salon.  Only to be able to get Golden Beauty, and Aphrodite. I was connected through the blog with Alyx. She is so amazing!  She found me Mediterranean Seas and enchantment lip kaleidoscope. I was not able to find good pics of this(MS), so I am posting what I have for you! Mediterranean Seas is a beautiful mix of greens and a gorgeous shimmery peach.  At first glance, the last color in the kit reminded me of jade from their regular shadow line, but it is totally different. The rest are  also unlike any other LMDB colors.  The first color is a deep green with teal sparkles, the second color is a light green with flashes of gold, the third color is a beautiful peach with flashes of gold, and the last color is an incredible deep green with peach, teal, green, and gold sparkles.  It is so beautiful and unique!!  They are all super pigmented.  As always Le Metier de Beaute has the best quality shadows.  They are pricey, but worth every penny!  This kaleidoscope was released a couple years ago, but Alyx might still be able to track this down for you!
